HOW TO INSTALL WINDOWS 7 OPERATING SYSTEM,DRIVERS & FOLDERS//EASIEST WAY//2020

  Okay-Dokey, so we'll just pretend. This is the first time [I] turn this computer on okay? pressing the power button down I've already marked turned on as well And at this point. I'll now change the camera Angle So that you guys See exactly what's happening on the screen because that's where all the action is from now on Okay, so straight away. I put the disc into that diSc drive. Just before I Rebooted the computer and now the operating system is Beginning its loading process starting windows oops And we've got language to install English yes time and currency format I'm not in the United states. I'm lost Rally allah So I will look for that, so I want to get English, Australia Keyboard or input method stick to the us format click next What to know before installing windows bah bah bah bah blah install now Setup is starting This drive here. I'm going to format now the reason why I'm doing this is because I had a dodgy copy of windows installed and What I'm basically doing is wiping all Information that was put onto any of the drives, so I'm starting completely fresh And I want to make disc one the primary driver So I'll go in new fly 

That's the new primary and this one So I'm going to where do you want someone to install to that? Click next and now it's working This is where it probably gets very boring, and I'll cut in and out when interesting things happen Okay, so we're getting to the end of expanding windows files Which is I think pretty much the longest part of installing windows styling features [styling] updates windows needs to restart to continue And by time I press the mouse button and it'll restart so I worry about it Okay, so windows is restarting again and Pretty confident that it's finished using the DVD installation DVD Yes, it has so I'm going to eject that now Because it's no [longer] needed And now [we'll] come some basic information top type of username So this is where I want to shave everything.

 I'm doing to have some privacy and Automatically generates whatever you've called you whatever your name is - PC, but I'm going to rename mine Something different then it's going to ask for a password [I'm] not going to worry about a password at the moment Product key I'm going to enter my product key and later Just in case I make some mistakes and need to restart everything all over again And I don't want to use up my activations, so I'm just going to click next Windows updates, I'm going to click ask me later so that the computer doesn't start Crazily downloading updates before I'm ready the time Yep, that's right. That's the time. I'm on Sydney, Australia Lavalla blog click next and it's already picked up my Network [in] the house. I'm living in so I'm going [to] select that and I actually know my security code to get into there, so I'll enter that and to get onto the network and For most people when you're at home, it will be a home network,

 so I'm going to do home network You'll notice at this stage the screen looks all chunky And very kindergartner ish, because the drive is to run the graphics card having been installed Stored [onto] the young under the main diskette, but as we go through [install] the drivers that'll fix that problem up So there you go. That's the basic first stage of installation of windows now I'm going to shut the computer down and go into Bios and Just quickly check some of the settings before our [advanced] any further Okay, [so] after the operating system is successfully installed It's a very good idea to go into your bios And to do that, you'll have to find out which key to press on boot up Model systems, it's delete sometimes. It's one of the function keys on these [these] [motherboards] delete So I press that and that gets me into the bios so Just for reference it is 2011 that's the year so if you're watching this from 3 years from now then this may be a bit added a point in any way [the] thing that you need to change is the boot order 

Now I've already changed mine, but what you'll probably find? is that Because the operating system was loaded from the DVD [drive] it'll it'll leave that is the primary boot device then you need to change that in the [Azuz] bios system, you can in the easy mode you can simply drag the icon across and make In my case, I have [a] ssd drive So that's and that's what the operating systems on so that will be your primary hard drive My backup will be the DVD [drive], and that's good so that if my computer crashes And I need to reload the operating system. 

It will automatically search for that as a second device Okay, so that's the easy way to do it in that easy mode if you want to use the advanced mode you click up [here] Click advanced mode then go to the boot Tab and Here you'll find boot option Priority's boot option one click that and there's some options the one I want is my [ocz] vertex for you and might be [a] western digital hard drive a Samsung's Hard drive, whatever it is then you put your second one there and your third one there [ok] There are plenty of other things you can tweak in Bios but I'll leave that for you to investigate because some I Don't to confuse people because people may have different motherboards, and I'm trying to make this some tutorial very generic in [its] nature 

So yeah after that's been done press out exit Save changes in reset yep And the system will reboot and hold that in the bios now you okay, so this is a little bit unusual because I have two hard disk drives and a solid-state drive in this computer, so there's three drives [altogether] and After installing Windows the Solid-state drive shows up there one of the hard drive strays up but the second hard drive Is missing so how do I fix that I really want to fix that before I do a single other thing to this computer? So I go click the start button Go over to computer [right] click on top Select manage then double Click storage double click disk management and Here we go. It's showing here the C drive. Which is the solid state drive. That's the boot drive D drive [um] Is active but the third [drive] is missing but when we go down to this list here? We have disk 0 Is equivalent to is the C drive? Disk one is unallocated. We've got to fix that. 

That's the missing drive and disk 2 Is showing up is D drive? So what do we have to do to fix this? okay, so I've basically got a Format this drive that isn't showing up Allocated so I'm right-clicking on top of here and a go create a simple new volume start the Wizard Just leave this at the default I think so. I'm not that much of a genius [J] will be the number for this [driver]. That's cool. I like J next NtFs system. Yeah, that's the right one allocation unit size Because I'm a scaredy-cat. I'm just going to leave [it] at the default position and volume label I'm going to call this the Just going to call it hard drive Hard Drive Storage Enable file and Folder compression now form a [quick-fire].

 Yes next And click finish and now it will format that risk [while] it's done So now I'll click that back click that off Go back into computer and now both [of] my hard drives are showing up So I've got the C drive D drive and J drive Now for most of you that's probably completely irrelevant, but for people with more than two drives that could be quite useful information Okay, set the motor the computer looks pretty ridiculous very plain because a lot [of] a lot of the drivers are missing now with your motherboard [will] come a disk with all the drivers on it Now easily is this motherboard? [oops] There we go. That's the driver disk, so I'm just going to pop that straight into the DVD drive Okay start computer TV as [if] [drive], I'm going to double click that Okay, yes And we have two options here One option is that you can [select] things Individually and install what you think your computer needs But I'm going to use the zeus install feature which will automatically load in everything that the computer needs and I'm not a genius. I'm a pretty average Joe comes to computers, and I think by making this selection You can't really go wrong So I'm going to click that [now] and that [will] go about installing all these different drivers. We have here audio drivers Usb drivers the storage drivers Bluetooth driver Install drivers and recommended tools automatically. Yes number of reboots after the installation to install now [ok] and [there's] the list of everything. 

That's about to be installed so I'll show you some [of] them as the progress goes down It'll show us the arms been installed ok so after a couple of reboots during that Azusa automatic install of primary drivers It's now come to the end saying installations is complete please restart your computer So now I can reject that installation CD. DVD oops And click ok for a restart? And when I come back, we'll be ready to install the second [load] of drivers okay, so because Norton I free a Trial version of Norton was installed with that driver set off the use this motherboard CD This bullshit's come up. I don't want Norton because I already have my own virus protector program so I'm going to click that and Close about enabling security that's what I'm going to do now I just put the zeus [drive] CD back into the computer because I just realized I forgot something so [oops] Where are we? Going to get that setup screen running again Because there's there's more utilities off that drive Which I do need to install Okay, so we've installed all the drivers next thing I'm going to do is go to utilities and The utilities has some programs which help you Help you control the motherboard control the fans because at the moment the fans are running flat [out] and If you've been hearing that annoying whirring sound going up and down in pitch During the beginning of this video [that's] because the fans are [running] full full glass so I'll now install the software suite And doing it automatically. I think that's the way to go and if you don't like something then uninstall it later Install utilities automatically from the list yes number [of] reboots after installation will be run install now, okay

 So it's installing the exists through our suite control fans all that sort of stuff as I said and also installing the Adobe reader Okay, so got everything from the the disk that came for the motherboard installed now [okay] to install Yep, now. I'm going to install the drivers for the graphics card, so is that this screen looks? Pretty beautiful instead of looking like something from the stone age okay, run CD setup Yes Now what do we got here? We'll install everything. It's on the screen here except for safe mode. We'll go for the enhance mode Click continue And it's going to go through its paces English. Yes Ok now comes the really good stuff [this] is the important things the end video graphics drivers

 They are getting loaded on Which will get everything running beautiful and looking like it's part of the times. We live in I'll do Express Okay, now the graphics drivers are successfully installed You can see the screen now looks fantastic Okay, so at this stage You now should have a fully functioning computer ready to go Of course there are a lot more stages to go especially if you're Taking all your information from one old computer and putting it into this very new one I will add a little bit more [information] after this we need to take off any crap where that's loaded on the computer and Tidy up the startup programs, so there's nothing silly loading up. They don't really want Install your virus protector. That's really important and also, set up the folder and file structure so that your default Because when you have a system that has more than one hard drive you need to change the default Folder location for where you [want] things being saved otherwise, it's all going to get stuck [on] the C Drive and that's not what you want [so] once I get my Screen capture program up and running. I'll take you through the steps of how [to] change those default folder locations Okay, so when you start up New Windows 7 system, and you have more than one hard drive You may like to put some of these default folders the main folders like my music my pictures [my] videos split these folders up Across your system. 

So not everything's on the one hard drive So you've got to change the location I'll start off my videos, so I'm going to go right [click] properties check that over here, and we'll go to location and I'm going to change the location For all my videos because I do a lot of video editing work On my source footage is going to go on to the J hard drive, so Simply going to change the address to J Click apply then it says the folder bla Bla Bla does not exist. Would you like to create it? You're going to say yes That's if it's a brand [new] computer we recommend that you move all the files bla Bla Bla. We're going to say yes Click apply And go okay, okay? [so] this is a little bit tricky and it depends. What operating system. You're you are on after you've done successfully,

 I'll just show you I'll open up my videos go to properties and [now] you can see that the address has changed So every time I just click on top of my videos It's automatically opening up the location on one of my storage drivers drives not on the C drive So that's all cool, but you'll probably have a duplication folder now. Which is a lot of Bs [okay], now I don't understand the technicalities of this sometimes I've noticed that if you wait, just a few minutes windows magically gets rid of this duplicate folder and [just] [deals] deals fixes it up for you, but other times it hangs around like a bad smell so just Make sure just make sure that that's the primary folder by checking the address as I showed you and this other one I'll probably say the original dress okay, it'll be safe to delete that Okay, but just be careful.

 I'm confident that you [know] what you're doing, and you [are] deleting the correct duplicate folder otherwise you can destroy the Wonderful lone primary Folder system that windows has set up for you so now Just to show you the end product if I go actually I'll get all later here. I'll [go] to my computer and Normally by [default] all the primary folders would be on C drive, but if I open up say my J. Drive here Then open up users open up decks Here we go. Here is the official videos folder so everything I put in there will be on that drive not the C drive and Another thing I've done [off-camera] is because I have these two large storage Storage drives on the D. Drive I've set mine up So that I've got my downloads my documents my music my pictures and some extra program files All on a secondary hard disk drive. 

So they're all sitting there I Have [mo] just my videos only on the J. Drive because I've got a lot of hD files which really large and now my local C drive just has all the primary operating system folders and All the really important stuff So I hope that makes sense Yeah, I hope [that] [makes] sense Okay, so here's a couple of extra things that are thought of If your computer's not if there's something not quite working right after you has installed the official drivers of those installation [disks] then hit the start button control panel Open that up if you're not seeing this viewing right now just click this button here and then go to the Device manager Oops, [oh], [no], I opened it up twice Okay, go to [device] [manager], [and] this is where you'll see any problems with drivers. If there's a problem It'll probably be opened up, and [I'll] have like some sort of exclamation mark Or something next to it 

And so what you can do is say like. What's a good one? Side the keyboard you might have a fancy keyboard go right click on top of here, and then just click update driver and You can either get windows to search for automatically via the internet in which case you'll need to have your internet arms Set up or if you know the driver is somewhere in a special file in your computer, then just click that one Okay, and then that'll install it and fix it up for you, okay? So that's the driver part [another] important thing to do is go into here. Where are we windows update? Go into settings and make sure you set this up [correctly] now I Always like for windows to check for updates But always to ask me when I would like to download and install them Because you know there's nothing more annoying then turn your computer on you've got something really important to do and suddenly [Windows] is downloading all this crap, and I'm slowing down your internet connection, so I like to have it on that setting there Give me recommended updates. 

Yeah, [I] like to have that selected Yes, like that give me updates from Microsoft products here [mosel] select that so I just have everything tick there like that and press ok One thing I don't like what windows does is it often can pick up updates for drivers [I]? never allow Windows to install updates for drivers Because I don't know what the hell happens at Microsoft, but they seem to have a gremlin factory which [wrecks] drivers And when you then install them onto your computer they can absolutely destroy it so that's something to be very careful of I prefer to do that straight off the website if I know something needs to be updated [so] these windows update make sure you get your virus protector installed. That's really important. I Mean there's gazillion tweaks. You can do in setting up a new computer so yeah I'll leave it at that because I want to keep this nice and simple And you also have to learn and explore things for yourself otherwise.
